To accommodate the growing number of visitors in the Disentis Sedrun holiday region, a larger parking garage was built at the valley station of the cable car.
The project faced significant challenges: the available plot was small, and the building could not be built higher due to the need for architectural harmony with the surrounding structures. At the same time, the parking experience had to remain spacious and comfortable.
Peikko’s innovative composite solutions met these challenges.
By combining DELTABEAM® Composite Beams, prestressed hollow-core slabs, and slender ATLANT® Composite Columns, the design achieved a highly efficient and space-saving structure. The flush installation of hollow-core slabs maximized usable floor area and reduced building height, while the slim-floor system allowed for large column spacing—up to 8.3 meters — creating flexible parking zones. The floor slabs have a thickness of 265 mm, with an additional 50 mm topping and surface coating ensuring structural integrity and optimal load distribution.
Thanks to a high degree of prefabrication and perfectly coordinated components, the parking garage with over 400 parking spaces was completed quickly and is now available to guests—blending seamlessly into the landscape while offering generous, user-friendly parking areas.
